At Vino, we like to choose our wines according to situation and season. With the arrival of summer, we turn our attention to lighter-bodied red wines and wines with lower alcohol levels. We’ll be spending the Fourth of July outdoors grilling and enjoying the warm weather: sparkling reds like Lambrusco and Gutturnio and light reds with nice acidity (and little tannin) like Barbera, Pelaverga, Bardolino, and Negramaro are our choices for the Fourth of July weekend.
Don’t hesitate to chill these wines: take them out of the fridge about 20 minutes before serving (you don’t want them to be too cold… otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy their rich fruit flavors and aromas).
This Thursday and Friday (5:30-7:30 p.m.) the Vino staff will be pouring four light summer reds — perfect for hot-weather drinking.
These wines will be 15% off in-store and 20% off online.
