Opened by restaurateur Nicola Marzovilla in 1994, I Trulli Enoteca e Ristorante is one of New York City’s landmarks of fine Italian dining. Mr. Marzovilla personally hand-picks the all-Italian wine list, while the menu celebrates the cuisine of the Marzovilla family’s homeland, the region of Apulia (which forms the heel of Italy’s boot). Nearly all of the pastas are handmade daily by Mr. Marzovilla’s mother, Dora Marzovilla.

“New York’s best and most attractive restaurant dedicated the cooking of Apulia.” —The New York Times

“The garden at I Trulli is a Mediterranean dream, a gracious shaded patio with terra cotta tiles and walls daubed with abstract landscapes in soothing colors.” —The New York Times

“Connoisseurs will appreciate rare selections from the Puglia region, but if you don’t know a Chianti from a Merlot, the soft-spoken bartenders will make spot-on recommendations given even the vaguest criteria.” —New York
